Restricting Supervisor Reports

Administrator workgroups provide the ability to restrict members to only be able to view subordinate data. This new Data View Restriction setting provides the ability to set restrictions to either ALL Subordinates, or IMMEDIATE Subordinates. Setting Data View Restrictions to ALL Subordinates means Supervisors may see user data for all subordinates in the Supervisor hierarchy defined company-wide. Selecting IMMEDIATE means Supervisors may only see user data for their immediate subordinates.

A Company Report definition can define a Student report that will only appear for users with a Supervisor role and will automatically filter data based on this relationship. A student type Company Report can be defined to us "Filter By Current Supervisor". These Reports will only appear in the Student Reports area in the Student Portal for those users who are Supervisors and will display data based on the current user’s data view restrictions and on the saved filters in the report to control whether All or Immediate subordinates will be displayed.

You can also filter data by all or immediate subordinates combined with a specific user. When selected, the data returned in the report is filtered based on the combination of the subordinate and supervisor filters set for the report.

On student received notifications this data will be populated from the designated Primary Supervisor. On supervisor received notifications this data will be populated from the receiving supervisor.
