Modify a system report

1. From the navigation bar, click Learning>Monitor>My Reports.

   The Reports page opens.

   

   The Reports page lists reports most commonly used by SilkRoad Learning administrators. On this page, you can search for, view, and monitor the following types of reports:

   • System reports
   • Custom reports

   System reports are reports provided as part of the SilkRoad Learning reporting system. For a list of reports, refer to System Reports.

   Custom reports are reports that you create using MS SQL Reporting software.

2. Search for the report that you want..
3. In the list beside a report, click and then click Preview.

   The report details window opens.

4. From the Report Format drop-down menu, select SQL Server Report (RDL).
5. Select the Open Report in new Window check box.
6. Click Generate and save the report on the local hard drive.
7. Open Business Intelligence Design Studio and create a new project of type Report Server Project.
8. Add the downloaded report with a Project | Add Existing Item command.
9. There are three tabs for the report:
   • Data – this tab should not be modified, it contains the SilkRoad Learning data downloaded with the report in an xml format.
   • Layout – this tab allows you to edit and change the report.
   • Preview – this tab allows a preview of the report.
10. Once the report has been edited it can be saved and uploaded as a new custom report to SilkRoad Learning.
