Training events and time zones

Training event time is stored and converted from UTC using the company-wide time zone as the default.

This means that when you create a training event, the time defaults to the company-wide setting. You can then change the time zone of the training event to any time zone. Time zones are easily identifiable in selection lists by name or UTC offset.

SilkRoad Learning displays the time zone with training events anywhere in the application where a training event start date or end date is displayed. Displaying time zone with a training event ensures that you can easily identify when it occurs. You will see time zone when you view training events. Time zone is also included on training event notifications.
