Change an employee's login ID

  • You must have the privilege to change employee ID.
  • You cannot change an employee ID using web services.
  • A login ID change generates a note in the employee profile and Audit Report.
  • Login IDs cannot be reused. If a user has one or more old login IDs, a history link appears next to the Login ID field. It shows old login IDs.
  • On the Find Employee page, the Login ID field always searches against active login IDs and old login IDs.
  1. From the navigation bar, click Employees & Events>Find Employee.
  2. Enter the search criteria and click Search.
  3. In the results list beside an employee, click and then click Profile.
  4. From the Profile tab in the Details section, click beside Login ID.
  5. On the confirmation pop-up, click OK.
  6. In the Login ID text box, type the new login ID.
  7. Click Save.
