Change an employee's login ID
- You must have the privilege to change employee ID.
- You cannot change an employee ID using web services.
- A login ID change generates a note in the employee profile and Audit Report.
- Login IDs cannot be reused. If a user has one or more old login IDs, a history link appears next to the Login ID field. It shows old login IDs.
- On the Find Employee page, the Login ID field always searches against active login IDs and old login IDs.
- From the navigation bar, click Employees & Events>Find Employee.
- Enter the search criteria and click Search.
- In the results list beside an employee, click and then click Profile.
- From the Profile tab in the Details section, click beside Login ID.
- On the confirmation pop-up, click OK.
- In the Login ID text box, type the new login ID.
- Click Save.
