Create a scheduled purge configuration
- A scheduled purge configuration identifies employees to be sent to the purge queue based on a rule or set of rules.
- A schedule purge configuration is not active until it is enabled.
- Alternative purging method: Select employees to add to purge queue.
- From the navigation bar, click Employees & Events>Manage Employee Purge.
The Manage Employee Purge Queue page opens.
- In the Scheduled Purge panel, click Add Configuration.
- Name the configuration. Make it descriptive so you can easily identify what it does.
Example: Purge terminated employees after 30 days. - From the Purge User list, select the number of days after the employee is added to the purge queue to be purged.
Example: If you want employees to be purged 30 days after being added to the purge queue, select 30 from the list. - Select a purge reason.
- Specify when to look for employees to add to the purge. Options are daily or monthly.
- Enable the configuration.
Tip: Only enable the configuration when you are ready for it to activate (start working). Otherwise leave it disabled until then.
- Click Add New Rule to set the purge rules.
The Add Rule window opens.

Key properties that are set up on your system. Typical key properties may be department, manager, location, and so on.

- Set the specifications based on the rule type you selected.
Tip: A purge configuration can have more than one rule. Repeat steps 9 through 10 for each rule you want to create.
- Click Save.
