Job posting headers and footers

The correct use of headers and footers is critical to correctly posting your jobs on job boards.

Header

A header is a block of text added to a posting directly before the start of the job description. It provides a brief company overview to a prospective job candidate.

A header is selected on a per job board basis and only added to the selected job board posting. Headers do not appear on company careers pages.

SilkRoad Recruiting supports an unlimited number of headers.

Footer

A footer is a block of text that added to the posting directly after the job description. It is selected on a per job board basis and only added to the selected job board posting. Footers are not displayed on company careers pages.

The footer is the primary method by which a candidate applies for a job. Footers contain a merge string that merges in a job's URL and displays the URL on the job posting when posted to an internet job board.

SilkRoad Recruiting supports an unlimited number of footers.

Example: A typical job posting window in SilkRoad Recruiting to CareerBuilder.com.

Avoid including an email address or link to your company’s internet home page in the footer because this would route candidates to some place other than SilkRoad Recruiting.
