Localization overview

Localization allows users to view and interact with Rival WingSpan in their native language. Currently, Simplified Chinese, French, French Canadian, German and Universal Spanish are available for selection when enabling localized content. In upcoming releases, additional languages can be requested and made available.

Customers must work with their Implementation Consultant to configure and manage the localization functionality within Rival WingSpan.

In addition, once the functionality is enabled, customers will need to review and possibly provide translations for the following customer specific content areas:

  • Profiles
  • Ranges
  • Code numerics
  • Static text
  • Navigation nodes
  • Appraisals (date intervals, reviewer roles, workflow templates, appraisal tasks)
  • Assessments (assessor categories, category sets, assessment tasks)
  • Performance Planning (goal category sets, plan rules, plan periods)
  • Succession planning
  • Email sets
  • Narrative sets

Note: Remember that each user must define the Language and Regional Settings to view localized content. Users may also choose to Set the Default Browser Language.
