Adding IdP authentication sources

When you are setting up an IdP, there are three methods you can use:

• Create IdP with public URL
• Create IdP using a data file
• Create IdP manually

Create IdP with public URL

If you have a public URL, this is the best option. By providing your URL, SilkRoad can consume your metadata file nightly and identify any changes. If there are changes, SilkRoad automatically adjusts the configuration.

Create IdP using a data file

If you do not have a public URL, you can use a data file to provide information about your IdP. You download your IdP's metadata file on your end and then upload it here. If you make changes to your metadata file, you upload it again so that SilkRoad receives the changes.

Create IdP manually

If you do not have a public URL or even a metadata file, you will have to manually provide each required IdP parameter. It is strictly a data entry process.
