Add materials to a training activity
  • Material is anything that enhances the learning experience. It can be a content object or media.
  • You can associate material with a training activity. Students can then access materials in the Student Portal.
  • Student access to material can be restricted or not.
  1. From the navigation bar, click Learning>Plan>Training Activities.
  2. Search for and select the training activity you want.

    The Training Activity Properties page opens.

  3. From the Materials section, click Add.

    The Materials Properties page opens.

  4. From the Type drop-down box, select:
    • Content Object to select a content object as material
    • Media to select media from the Media/Asset Bank as material

    Depending on the selection, the Material Properties window displays different options.

  5. In the Content Object or Media list, click search magnify glass icon to search and select material.

    Tip: For content object type, you can also set the Instructor and Student skins.

  6. In the Student Access list, select when (if) a student can access the training material:
    • None: Training material is associated with training activity but the student cannot access it.
    • Unrestricted: Training material is available to student at any time.
    • At session start: Training material is available to student when the training event (session) occurs.
    • After session: Training material is available to student after the training event (session) ends.
    • Instructor set: Training material is available when the instructor unlocks it.
  7. (If applicable) Set the assigned language for the training material.
  8. (If applicable) In the Notes box, enter any addition information about the training material. This information appears below the training material link on the Course Schedule page.
  9. Click Add.
  10. Click Save.
