Memberships

Memberships restrict or allow users to view information in SilkRoad Learning. You can create memberships for:

  • Training catalog items
  • Course catalogs
  • Checklist experts

For example, you may want to restrict a sales-centric course catalog to only sales staff in your organization or restrict a checklist so it can only be assessed by a specific user. You can easily do this with memberships.

Criteria control how membership restricts or allows access. The criteria are:

  • Jobs
  • Job Categories
  • Groups
  • Organizations
  • Individual inclusion
  • Individual exclusion

You can also use combinations of criteria to further limit or grant access. For example, you could create a membership to allow all sales staff except your West Coast division to view your sales-centric catalog. You would use the jobs and organization criteria to do this.
