Add org level 2 organization units to an org chart

1. From the navigation bar, click Enterprise>Organization>Org Chart.

   The Organization Units page opens.

   

   On the Organization Units page, you create an org chart by creating organization units based on levels. The number of levels required is established and setup during setup configuration. These levels can be labeled and customized for your organization. The maximum number of levels is 10.

   If created, your organization's org chart appears in the upper left. If organization units (levels) have been assigned, the org chart has a plus sign. Click the plus sign to expand to see the hierarchy.

   Below the org chart are the organization levels. To find a specific organization unit, click beside an org level. For example, to find an organization unit at the second level of the org chart, click for Org Level 2. A search box appears in the upper right of the page.

   

   From the search box, you can:

   • Enter search criteria such as title, reference, or external key to quickly find an organization unit
   • Filter an organization unit
   • Add an organization unit
2. Click the check box of the org chart.
3. Click Properties.

   Org Level 1 page opens.

   

   On the Org Level pages, you define an organization unit based on the level it is to appear in an org chart. You can have up to 10 levels in an org chart.

   Fields

   Title: Type a tile for the organization unit.

   Reference: Type a reference for this item to make it easier to find in searches.

   External Key: If the organization level has an associated external key, enter it here.

   Description: Type a description for the organization unit.

   Cost Center: To assign a cost center or centers, click to search for and select cost centers from the Cost Centers page.

   Children: Click Add to select an organization unit or units to be a child level of the organization unit. For example, if you are creating an org level 3 organization unit, the children are level 4.

4. In the Children section, click Add.
5. Search for and select the organization unit or units.
6. Click Confirm.
7. On the Org Level 1 page, click Save and close the page.

   The org chart now contains the org level 2 organization unit or units you added.
