
On the Training Catalog Item Properties page, you can create a training catalog item or modify an existing one.
Fields
Product Code: Type the product code. This code is displayed in the catalog and can be used to search for courses.
Product Type: Select one of the following:
- eCourse
- Training Activity
- Bundle
The selection you make controls the remaining fields on this page.
Note: A bundle is a collection of training catalog items (eCourses only) that can be displayed in a catalog as a group of courses.
Product: For the eCourse or training activity, click
to search for and select one.
Name: Type the name for the training catalog item. If you are creating a specific language catalog item, type the name in the appropriate language specific field. Your site may be configured for the languages you need to publish.
Note: Name field is optional. Leave the Name field blank if you want to display the Catalog Name as the name of the linked product.
Description: Type a description. If you are creating for a specific language, type the description in that language field.
Active: Select this check box to make the item appear in the catalog. Otherwise, leave unchecked.
Bundle Access Only: For eCourses, select this check box if the item is part of a bundle only.
Exemptions: For bundles, type the number of courses before a student needs approval. This setting is only available for eCourse type training catalog items. Catalog items with bundle access only set on do not appear in the eCourse section of the catalog.
Note: Exemption settings provide a way to automatically approve student enrollment in the bundle up to the exemption limit.
Membership Access Only: Check this box if you plan to publish this catalog item to a defined membership. The Memberships box opens. Select the members who will have access.
Show Training Event Vendor Cancellation Policy: For training activities, select the check box to activate.
Syllabus Note: Type notes for the syllabus. They appear in the course description when launched from the Training Catalog or Training Calendar for the user.
Administrator Name: Type the name of the course administrator.
Administrator Email: Type the email of the course administrator.
Languages: To assign languages, click a language or languages from the Available list and use the arrow buttons to move them to the Assigned list.
Categories: To assign categories, click a category or categories from the Available list and use the arrow buttons to move them to the Assigned list.
