Requisition approval paths
When creating a requisition, you can define an approval path for the requisition. There are two options:
- Sequential review
- Non-sequential review
Sequential review
A sequential review means that reviewers review a requisition in a specific sequence. Reviewer 1 reviews it, then reviewer 2, and so on. A sequential review is automated.
Reviewer 1
|
Receives an approval request email. Email includes requisition details, names of other approvers, and other approvers' approval statuses.
If reviewer approves the requisition:
|
Reviewer 2
|
Same process as reviewer 1.
|
Last reviewer in sequence
|
Same process as previous reviewers except:
- When the last reviewer approves the requisition, an approval request email is not sent to the next reviewer in sequence because there isn't one. Instead, a notification is sent to the job creator, indicating the job is ready to be posted.
|
Non-sequential review
A non-sequential review means that reviewers review a requisition based on a requisition administrator's choices. It is not automated. A requisition administrator can choose to send approval requests to every reviewer at the same time (Email All button) or to individual reviewers (Email Reviewer button).
When a reviewer approves a requisition, the system does not trigger an email to the next reviewer in the chain. The requisition administrator must submit the next review request manually unless the Email All option was initially used.
