Custom tracking code

Use the Tracking Code Management setting to set your custom tracking code value. You can set the current tracking code number to any number greater than or equal to the current number.

The first requisition or job created will be one digit higher than the tracking code number set in the settings page. There is client side and server side validation to prevent the new tracking code from being set to anything other than a number that is greater than or equal to the current number.

• Custom tracking code numbers have a maximum of nine digits.
• Once a custom tracking code number is set, you cannot disable it in the future.
• A custom tracking code can only contain numbers.
• Custom tracking code numbers increment by one when new requisitions and jobs are created.
• The custom tracking code number must be higher or equal to the current highest tracking code number.
• As a best practice, you should pad your tracking code number with enough digits to account for the number of jobs you are budgeting for that year.
