Emails and narratives overview

Rival WingSpan emails and narratives can be customized with wording and content specific for your company. System and module specific emails are automatically sent providing reminders and updates about tasks. Narratives provide instructions and prompts while using Rival WingSpan.

Rival WingSpan has module specific emails and narratives that can be tailored to meet the needs of your organization.

Rival WingSpan offers the following modules:

• Administration
• Appraisal
• Assessments
• Development Planning
• Employee Journal
• Performance Planning–Goals
• Succession Planning

Each module has emails and/or narratives that can be customized to provide customer specific messages and instructions.

The following tables define the default emails and narratives within Rival WingSpan. You can modify any of the emails or narratives; however, you cannot delete a base template email or narrative set. You may optionally choose to enable some or all of the emails within an email set.

All email and narrative sets are accessed by choosing Manage Email Sets or Manage Narrative Sets from the Navigation bar under Site.

It is necessary to make changes to the Base Template for Administration and Development Planning Emails and Narratives to implement any changes. Functionality is available to add or generate copies but only changes to the Base Template are reflected in the system.

It is a best practice to create a copy of the base email or narrative set and edit your copy (when possible). Copying retains all of the system generated values in the base and allows you to go back to the original version if needed.
