Add a feature

1. From the navigation bar, click Content>Authoring>Features.

   The Features page opens.

   

   The Features page shows the features that have been added to SilkRoad Learning. On this page, an administrator can:

   • Add a feature
   • View properties for a feature
   • Delete a feature
2. Click Add.

   The Feature Properties page opens.

   

   On the Feature Properties page, you define the properties for a feature.

   Fields

   Name: Type a name for the feature.

   Help Text: Type the rollover help text for the feature.

   File: Click to search for and select a file to associate with the feature.

   Enabled: Select this check box to make this new feature available to be added to Content Objects.

   Window Settings

   Width: Specify a width for the pop-up window that will contain the feature.

   Height: Specify a height for the pop-up window that will contain the feature.

   Status Bar: Select this check box to include a status bar on the pop-up window. Otherwise, leave unchecked to not include a status bar.

   Preview: Click this button to preview what the feature will look like in the pop-up window.

3. In the Name box, type the name of the feature.
4. In the Help Text box, type the rollover help text.
5. From File, click to search for and select a file to assign to the feature.
6. On the Media/Asset Bank page, click Search or filter the search by typing additional information into the filter boxes.
7. Select the check box of the media item then click Confirm.
8. Select the Enabled check box to make this new feature available to be added to Content Objects.
9. Under Window Settings, specify the size of the pop-up window in which the feature will download and appear.

   Tip: Click Preview to preview how the feature will look.

10. If you want the pop-up window to have a status bar, select the Status bar check box.
11. Click Add.
