Data Segmentation Preparation page

Use the Data Segmentation Preparation page to determine readiness for enabling data segmentation based on the key property selected. To configure data segmentation, a key property must be selected as the criteria to segment the data and only those categories that have been configured as key properties are available.

After accessing the Data Segmentation Preparation page, a drop-down selection list (Data Segmentation category) of all the category aliases is shown.

1. From the navigation bar, click Administration>Key Properties.

   The Manage Key Properties page opens.

2. Click the Data Segmentation Preparation link.

   Only users with the manage data segmentation permission see this link on the Manage Key Properties page.

   The Data Segmentation Preparation page opens.

3. Select a category from the Data Segmentation category drop-down list.
4. Click Submit.

   The output is displayed based on the category. A message at the bottom of the table informs if you can enable data segmentation or not. Results are broken out by active and retired employees.

   Note that:

   • Selecting the number link of the key properties not set will bring you to the Employee Report with the list of employees who require the data segmentation key property set.
   • Selecting the number link for assignment category set will bring you to the employee report to see the employees and both their key properties and assignment categories for data segmentation.
   • On the Data Segmentation Preparation Report, Employee Name, Email, SSO ID, and Employee ID columns are sortable. To sort by Key Properties or Assignment Categories, download to Microsoft Excel and sort there.
