Report metadata

Report metadata allows an administrator to generate a summarized set of appraisal scores that is used as the input for:

  • Report Charts and Process overview on the Employee Profile
  • Appraisal Score Summary Comparison Chart on the Admin Reports page
  • 9-Box matrix in Succession Planning
  • Scatter plot matrix in Succession Planning
  • Performance filter on the Find Employee advanced search in Succession Planning

The report metadata is easy to set up. The following describes the workflow for configuring report metadata.

  1. Create a Process Label such as "Yearly Review" or "Competency Assessment".
  2. Apply the Process Label to the Write Appraisal step in an appraisal workflow.
  3. Alternatively, apply the Process Label to an Assessment Group.
  4. Create a Tag such as "Overall Rating" and apply the tag to the row on the form that contains the desired rating.
  5. Generate the metadata immediately by updating the report data or wait until the daily, automated process is run.
